How does RVS Technology work?
The RVS gel is distributed throughout the entire engine with the motor oil. A chemical reaction between the metal silicate of the RVS gel and the iron molecules of the metallic engine components takes place at all areas of friction, e.g. between piston and cylinder. A ferrosilicate, also known as Cermet, is formed. A new surface on all metallic parts is formed chemically.
This new material is not a new coating on the previous one – it is formed by transforming the older coating. It can thus not be too thick or peel off. Revitalization with the RVS Technology gel cannot be compared with motor oil additives, whose effect is restricted to modifying the properties of the oil and which thus have to be added again each time the oil is changed.
RVS leads to a real ceramicization of the metal and is much more effective and long-lasting than additives that work on a graphite basis.
The effect of the RVS Technology gel lasts over 100,000 km.
This long-lasting metal-ceramic surface id formed selectively on all ferrous components that need oil to operate. No chemical reaction takes places on materials that do not contain iron (e.g.wet clutches for motorcycles, aluminum liners and alloys such as Nikasil).
The result is a uniformly smooth surface as in a new vehicle.
This has an impact on all engine properties
Performance, fuel consumption, oil consumption, noise, exhaust emissions and compression are improved. Imagine the effect as a rejuvenation treatment. The life of the engine is extended noticeably. Tolerances are returned to the original condition. The Cermet reduces friction considerably. The engine runs quieter and starts better.
Optical results before and after RVS treatment:
The changes to the surface can be seen with the naked eye and can also be felt.
